Reporting to the Corporate Controller, Technica Mining is looking for a highly motivated individual interested in joining our growing accounting team. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. The duties of the position include charging expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices and expense reports as well as recording entries, paying vendors by preparing cheques while following company policies and maintaining accounting ledgers through verification and posting of account transactions. Additionally, the Accounting Clerk is also required to track and allocate cost reimbursable invoices and verify vendor accounts through reconciliation of monthly statements and related transactions. Further this position will require strong communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to multitask while upholding attention to detail and protecting the organization’s values while maintaining confidentiality. The clerk position may be assigned other duties in accordance with accomplishing accounting and organizations results as required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and Data Entry
- Excellent use of English; verbally and writing,
- French verbal and good working knowledge of written French is required
- Ability to plan, organize and work with minimal supervision
- Confidentiality and attention to detail is desired
