Office Administrator/Receptionist

Currently Technica is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as an Office Administrator/Receptionist.  The role of the Office Administrator is to provide clerical, accounting and administrative support and be the first point of contact for all visitors.  Reporting to the Financial Controller, the key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Responding promptly and professionally to all external and internal inquiries and requests by re-directing to the appropriate staff member
  • Handling, preparing and distributing all incoming and outgoing mail, faxes and courier deliveries
  • Maintaining office security by following safety procedures and controlling visitor access by maintaining visitor logs
  • Assisting Finance group in Accounts Payable duties including; charging expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices and expense reports as well as recording entries, paying vendors by preparing cheques while following company policies and maintaining accounting ledgers through verification and posting of account transactions
  • Assist with various reporting and data entry tasks
  • Provide administrative support to other departments and sites

Qualifications

  • Secondary education or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of previous reception/administrative experience in a corporate environment is preferred
  • Proficiency with computer programs (MS Office)
  • Attentive to detail with strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates initiative with the ability to work independently and effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Display strong communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to uphold attention to detail and maintain the organizations values while upholding confidentiality
  • Willing and able to undergo pre-employment testing as a condition of employment
