It is our responsibility to give back to the communities in which we live, work and play. We generously invest in health care, education and those less fortunate within our communities and always lead by example. Our community support is essential to who we are as an organization
Indigenous Partnership
Indigenous People have cared for this land since time immemorial. It is our shared responsibility to honour the treaty relationships with local Indigenous partners in the spirit of peace, mutual prosperity and environmental stewardship. With this, Technica Mining is humbled to continue our journey toward reconciliation through our advocacy, employment and partnerships with Indigenous Communities. It is our hope that this continued effort will inspire a new generation of people to explore careers in mining, while celebrating the intelligence of Indigenous traditions, ways of knowing, being and doing.
As part of our commitment, we formed a partnership with Atikameksheng Anishnawbek and Wahnapitae First Nation to create Aki-eh Dibinwewziwin (ADLP), a mine contracting partnership. Atikameksheng Anishnawbek (AA) and Wahnapitae First Nation (WFN) share a 51% ownership of ADLP. Technica Mining with its quarter century history as a leading underground mining and construction company is the minority shareholder and operating partner.
Technica Day
Each year around Christmas, we shutdown our projects for one day and gather as a team to review our past year’s success and challenges. It’s designed to be a no-pressure, fun day to get to know one another outside of the workplace. It serves as an opportunity to join in team building exercises, introduce guest speakers and share in a great lunch together as a Team.
Most importantly, it is day to spend together to gain alignment on new initiatives for the upcoming year, reinforce our safe work culture and leave the day as One Team, One Voice.
Family Day
We place extraordinary value on our workforce being part of one another’s extended family. Our most anticipated event every year is our annual Technica Family Day.
It’s a day to celebrate one another as colleagues together with our families here at our headquarters in Sudbury. We transform from a mining contractor into carnival ground for our families and fill our site with smiles and laughter. It’s a fun way we show our appreciation for the support we get at home and most importantly, a great reminder for what is most important to us and why we work safe.

At Technica Mining we prioritize relationships and collaboration for getting results, striving to focus on the needs and growth of our clients. We support an approach that goes beyond projects and puts people first.
